Cruciform Mounting Plates for Concealed Hinges
Cruciform Mounting Plates for Concealed Hinges
A cruciform mounting plate is fixed to the cabinet side and used to connect a compatible concealed hinge. Its cross-shaped design provides multiple fixing points and helps with positioning and adjustment when fitting cabinet and furniture doors.
Choose 28 or 37 mm to the fixing-hole line
Cruciform mounting plates are available for two different distances between the front edge of the cabinet side and the fixing-hole line: 28 or 37 mm. Select the plate that matches the cabinet’s existing drilling pattern or the measurement used for new drilling.
Plate height affects the door position
The mounting plate height affects the position of the hinge in relation to the cabinet and therefore the door overlay. The correct height depends on the hinge type, the hinge cup drilling distance from the edge of the door and whether the door is full overlay, half overlay or inset.
Check the fixing method and plate height
The range includes cruciform mounting plates for different fixing methods in the cabinet side. Check the drilling pattern, distance to the fixing-hole line and plate height before ordering. Most Salice hinges fit all standard mounting plates, but Series 300, 600, 800 and 900 require dedicated mounting plates.
A mounting plate is never included when purchasing a hinge and must be ordered separately.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cruciform Mounting Plates
What is a cruciform mounting plate?
It is the component fixed to the cabinet side to which the concealed hinge is connected. Its cross-shaped design provides multiple fixing points and helps with positioning and adjustment.

The measurement is the distance from the front edge of the cabinet side to the line of holes used to secure the mounting plate. Select the measurement that matches the cabinet’s drilling pattern.
How does mounting plate height affect the door?
The plate height affects the position of the hinge and therefore the door overlay. It must be selected according to the hinge model, drilling measurements and required door position.
Which fixing method should I choose?
The correct method depends on the cabinet material and existing drilling. Models are available for wood screws and predrilled system holes. Always check the product’s drilling pattern and fixing measurements.
Do all cruciform mounting plates fit every hinge?
Most Salice hinges fit all standard mounting plates. The exceptions are Series 300, 600, 800 and 900, which require dedicated mounting plates.
