Undermount Drawer Slides for Kitchens & Furniture

Undermount Drawer Slides for Kitchens & Furniture

Undermount drawer slides are fitted beneath the drawer and remain hidden when the drawer is open. This gives the drawer a clean appearance and makes them particularly suitable for kitchens, bathroom furniture, wardrobes and other furniture where visible side-mounted slides are not wanted.

Our range includes undermount drawer slides for different drawer depths, load capacities and functions. Depending on the system, you can choose between soft-close and Push-to-open for handleless drawers.

What is the difference between undermount and side-mounted drawer slides?

The main difference is the mounting position. Undermount slides sit beneath the drawer and are concealed by the drawer construction, while telescopic and roller slides are normally mounted on the sides.

Because the slides are hidden, the sides of the drawer remain free from visible hardware. Undermount systems are also designed as complete solutions where the slide, drawer construction and connecting clips need to work together.

Soft-close or Push-to-open

Soft-close drawer slides slow the drawer during the final part of closing and pull it in smoothly. This provides a controlled and comfortable closing action.

Push-to-open is particularly suitable for handleless drawers. Pressing the drawer front activates the opening mechanism so the drawer can be opened without a handle.

Full extension for easy access

Many undermount drawer slides offer full extension, allowing almost the entire depth of the drawer to be accessed. This is particularly useful for deep kitchen drawers and other storage applications.

Choose the correct system and accessories

When choosing undermount drawer slides, check the drawer length and construction, the required load capacity and the preferred opening or closing function. Also check which connecting clips and other accessories are required for the system.

Our range includes Futura and Progressa undermount drawer slide systems with different functions for kitchen and furniture drawers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Undermount Drawer Slides

What is an undermount drawer slide?

An undermount drawer slide is fitted beneath the drawer rather than on the side. It is concealed by the drawer construction and is normally hidden when the drawer is open.

What is the difference between undermount and telescopic slides?

Undermount slides are concealed beneath the drawer, while telescopic slides are normally mounted on the sides of the drawer.

Are undermount drawer slides available with soft-close?

Yes. Some models have integrated damping for smooth and controlled closing.

Are undermount drawer slides available with Push-to-open?

Yes. Push-to-open allows the drawer to open when the front is pressed and is therefore ideal for handleless furniture.

Are undermount drawer slides available with full extension?

Yes. Many models offer full extension, allowing almost the entire drawer depth to be accessed.

How do I choose the correct load capacity?

Consider the weight of the drawer itself together with the maximum weight of its contents and choose a slide with sufficient load capacity.

Do undermount drawer slides require clips or connectors?

It depends on the system. Many undermount slides use dedicated clips or connectors to secure the drawer to the slides.
