Pan Head System Screw for Fittings
Pan Head System Screw for Fittings
Pan head system screws are used for installation in pre drilled system holes where the screw head is to sit on top of the fitting. The pan head provides a stable bearing surface and is suitable for fittings with flat, non countersunk screw holes.
Common applications
- Fittings with flat screw holes where the screw head remains visible on top of the fitting.
- Hinge plates and drawer runners installed in pre drilled system holes.
- Holders, brackets and furniture fittings in cabinet carcasses, chipboard or MDF.
The screw is intended for fixing into pre drilled 5 mm system holes and is used when a pan head provides the correct bearing against the fitting.
When should you choose a pan head system screw?
Choose a pan head system screw when the fitting has a straight screw hole or when the screw head should not sink into the material.
Compared with a countersunk system screw, the pan head sits on top of the fitting. This makes it suitable for installation where the screw head should be visible and provide stable contact.
