Hinges for thin doors

Hinges for thin doors are designed for furniture and cabinets where the limited thickness of the door prevents the use of a conventional concealed hinge. Here you will find hinges for both thin wooden doors and doors made from materials such as MDF, HDF, HPL and other special materials.

The range includes Salice Series 100 with an extra-shallow hinge cup for thin wooden doors, as well as Salice Universal for very thin doors and special materials. Depending on the model, features include self-closing and integrated soft close.

Choose the hinge according to door material and thickness

When selecting a hinge, the thickness and material of the door are particularly important. For thin wooden doors, models are available with a shallow Ø 35 mm hinge cup that requires less drilling depth than a conventional concealed hinge. Salice Series 100, for example, has a cup depth of only 8 mm and can be used on wooden doors from 10 mm thick.

For extra-thin doors made from special materials, Salice Universal is available. Its special fixing system allows the hinge to be installed on doors from 8 mm thick and is suitable for materials including HPL, HDF, MDF, metal, ceramic and various composite materials.

Soft-close hinges for thin doors

For applications where smooth and controlled closing is required, models with integrated soft close are available. The damping mechanism is built directly into the hinge and slows the door during the final stage of closing.

Check drilling depth and mounting plate

Because thin doors provide less space for the hinge cup, the correct drilling depth is essential. Always check the product's technical dimensions and recommended minimum door thickness before machining. The hinges are combined with a suitable mounting plate depending on the required door position and cabinet construction.
